Should there be a subtrope, "Mexican Stingoff" for when multiple law enforcement agencies end up running their stings afoul of each other?
You know, like NCIS sets up a sting on a bomb maker, bomb maker is actually an ATF undercover operative, etc.?
I think the best way to put it in México is "La Ley de Herodes". It refers to a situation which it doent matter what you do, you are gonna get fucked. "La Ley de Herodes: o te chingas..... o te jodes". Both words to describe getting fucked no matter what..
Edited by Oro_077Just throwing this out there: GTA V, "The Wrap Up". Right before the helicopter comes in.
Edited by BobSaget9I think we should change the trope image to the one from Pirates of the Caribbean at World's End, where they all point their guns at each other and constantly switch throughout the discussion.
How about Escape from LA?
Snake Plissken end-runs around a Mexican Standoff by suggesting "Bangkok Rules"...
If a superhero and a supervillain both know each other's Secret Identity, does that count for this trope? Asking so I know whether or not to put Danny Phantom as an example.
