I wonder if any animals have ironic scientific names? Like a tiny junglefowl being named "Gallus maximus" for example.

How comes this trope is a lot more used in Western Animation than in animes?

I'm mainly a fan of underrated media.

Under Modern Warfare:

Shepherd is usually the nickname of someone who takes care of a group of people under his watch as best as he can, as well protecting them from danger.

Could someone please provide an explanation of why the name is ironic, i.e. how the character doesn't fit the image of his name? Also, is the spoiler tag actually needed?
