As someone from the UK, I have never heard of this. I've never heard of degrees from other European countries being treated with disrespect, but I've certainly never heard any sort of gushing over the fact a degree is European, and I don't see why anyone would do that.

Obviously I don't want to remove this just based on my own experience, so I wonder if anyone else can say they have or haven't heard of this.
