Removed these, because they are natter and also of rather questionable content (for the record, holidays vary from 9 to 12 in number depending on the state, compared to a legal minimum of 24 days of vacation; and the legal minimum for vacation is not only well-accepted, but often exceeded as well, with anyone suggesting to lower it committing political suicide).

  • Correct, if by 9 to 5 you mean 9-2. Also, the copious number of religious holidays in strongly Catholic regions pretty much doubles the effective vacation time most people get.
    • Germans only get more time off because laws were passed so people didn't work to hard. Sometimes stereotypes are true. Americans do work a lot though.
