I really think the name needs to be changed. Since a poacher is breaking the law, all poachers can be considered evil, they aren’t all malicious. Real poachers often poach only for food, and even those who trap animals might only opt for smuggling and don’t necessarily have to be cruel to the animals. Even more malicious greedy poachers don’t necessarily go after the hero directly. Therefore a better name for this trope would be “Aggressive Poacher”
