Im not sure about the sub comment for the Human Revolution example. While the company went further than neccisary, what that line is was never stated. Jenson was thrown through plate glass (you can see it embedded in him in the cutscene), had his throat crushed, was near a ruptured chemical vessel, was shot in the head, and was spared being burned only be a part of the building collapsing on him. His arms, legs, lungs, and skullcap would need replacing at the very least.

The prince is implanted with part of the dragon's heart -he's not changed into something else, nor is his brain/mind implanted into a creation of science or magic. I don't think the example fits.
