Inclined to disagree. There isn't a super/subtrope relation going on here, a barefoot character can be more than one thing at a time.

I know I've seen sentiments very much like the page quote in something decades older than Tangled. The difference was only the answerer liked going barefoot. It could well have been Lord of the Rings, with a Hobbit answering, or it could have been any of the approximately N-thousand books I read during my childhood; the 1980s. Does anyone remember?
I think Earthy Barefoot Character should not apply to characters with nature related powers. With the exception of Friend to All Living Things, that typically falls under Magical Barefooter.
