I know this really isn't important, and sort of goes without saying, but man, FUCK. VUNDO. I've had so many computers go down due to that trojan, it's unbelievable. Didn't know what it was called, but i do now, after reading the article, and can at least explain the virus better to a technician.
Honestly, I feel that this trope should focus on the fact that computer viruses - a very specific form of self-replicating malware - are the only kind of malware or computer attack that exist in the world of fiction. Nothing else is ever used: no worms, no trojans, no script injections, no running of arbitrary code on remote systems. It's Always A Virus. Even where infection and self-replication make no sense whatsoever. The contributors to the article have fallen for this as well. The lead is completely off the mark and rambles on about exploits in general and worms. The "Real Life" examples (Vundo and Storm) are a trojan and a worm, respectively. Etc.
