This is not a good example as written: Frago might be an example but this invention is behaving in complex plot-related ways that aren't malfunctions as such.

  • In Eureka, Fargo is a prime example of this. Most notably, he created S.A.R.A.H., the artificially-intelligent house Jack lives in. In the penultimate episode of the first season, S.A.R.A.H. was forces a Locked in a Room senario on the characters. The attempts to override her to get out brought up the old Military AI that she was based on.
