If anyone wants to fit them into a trope:

The Madagascar Crown was a very pure and solid gold, loaded with gems and bling, but the showpieces were the six large stones set into each of the six crosses it was adorned with.

After Firebeard chops the crown up to divvy the spoil up properly, the crosses (part of the base being a piece of the crown itself) are distributed thus (mostly avoiding color-coded for your convenience):

Sheba -diamond (she favors reds, scarlet, and leather in her clothing)

Bilbo -black pearl (favors black, but color will take a backseat to fashion as needed. He mounts his cross in the hilt of his favorite rapier.)

Happy Dan Pew -opal (and hopefully the damn thing had a layer of glass over it -opals are soft)

Firebeard -sapphire, loses it in a game of dice to Happy Dan Pew (It's rather sad -Firebeard's head injury and/or lack of education left him unable to count.)

Calico Jack Rackham -ruby (Jack favors white calico; he promptly sent the cross off to Anne, and it did get there safely)

Akbar -emerald (he's Arabian (his race isn't mentioned on the main page) and is later seen wearing gold lamé pants.)
