I think the 'Foregone Conclusion' examples are incorrect. They refer to statements Dire has made in Dire Worm, which is a different Timeline from the one described in the Dire Saga Novels.

Reasoning:

SPOILER WARNING DIRE:WORM and Dire Saga 1-4

1. Dire Worm Dire references punching Hitler, as does Future Dire. Present Dire, on the other hand, shot him instead.

2. Gamma in Dire Worm explains that the Greek Chorus were initially over-engineered chat-bots, that gradually grew until Dire no longer felt comfortable treating them as non-sapient. Present Alpha, on the other hand, is a smart-frame that was sent back in time by Future Dire and was subsequently trapped and converted into a Digital Intelligence by Present Dire.

I agree with you. "Canadian Girlfriend" is another data point. Chronologically, Dire runs into the CIA operative first, and yet, in the fanfic, she's puzzled by the reference when Imp exhibits the same powerset and suggests the same code name.

Two different pants legs of time.
