I prefer the "Freak" because it's less awkward to talk/write about. But, I wouldn't be upset over changing it to "Pervert".

Well, if you think about it, the entire point is that the name is embarrassing and therefore awkward, so that only makes it fit better.

I like "Freak" since it feels more general than "Pervert". But I wouldn't mind if it was changed for whatever reason.

What do you mean by "more general"? I can see that it's a name with wider reach, but Japanese is a highly context-specific language. If you look at some of the times he's used his name, they tend to include situations when he's crossdressing or his... nether-regions end up exposed.
EDIT: change made, since everyone who responded said they wouldn't mind the change.

I honestly think that we should use "Pervert" as the translation for Satou's nickname on the page. Sure, "Freak" is a valid translation, and gg originally used that as well, but the way the characters are generally reacting to him pretty much implies that they intended that to be read as "pervert".
