I'm not exactly sure if one can call it bad blood in Dark Moon, and Mario Polterpup's other master.

For the first, maybe my definition of "bad blood" is wrong, but wouldn't "bad blood" require Luigi and the dog to be hostile to each other? The plumber was, at most, only annoyed at him while Crazy!Polterpup just wanted to play, though that turned out badly for our ghostbuster.

Secondly, if I interpret every scene involving both correctly, Polterpup doesn't really acknowledge Mario, even when stealing his cake. Given that he's immediately looking at Luigi afterwards, it seems to me that he simply wanted to get his attention, as if he was saying "Look Luigi what I've got here!". Basically it could have been someone else with the same result (Except for his master, because he likely wouldn't want him to be annoyed again).

Generally I get the impression that Polterpup is completely fixated on Luigi, and by occasion E. Gadd whom he even licks at the end and assists him with painting. Everyone else, including the other ghosts of the hotel, are simply strangers - who don't pay attention to him in the first place - and potential playmates when the dog is bored and the man in green isn't around.
