Before the actual story starts, the narrator relates several (supposedly) "reported cases" of people buried alive. The case of Victorine Lafourcade is one of them. Check here: The Premature Burial

What the heck is this entry? It has nothing whatsoever to do with Poe's story "The Premature Burial", which is about a narcoleptic protagonist with a phobia of being buried alive. No love story, no person named Victorine, and no lock of hair.
