the whole solution was ymmv. it introduced problems, radically changed the way things were done, and made some character concepts untennable. look at the comments on their blog for that week (use the way back machine for whichever article it was).

I thought that section read like a rather enlightening treatise on the subject in the game. It laid out its sources and several comments in there even talked about how Lethe operates and why it just doesn't mesh without calling it bad or even implying it was bad.

Hmmmm... it was pretty bloated and back-and-forth though. Perhaps we could make a shortened, more readable version? When I made the edit, I didn't realize how fresh the discussion was.
Except for the final part, it's not very fresh. The rest was probably months ago.
We could probably combine the issues and the answers given and see what remains to be answered.
The two topics are somewhat intertwined as one leads to the other. However, that might work. I'll see if I can work something up.
If we'd like to discuss what's going in here and why, I can provide explanations for why I think those should go on there as legitimate headscratchers and not just complaints.

Why add that last line again? I'm not seeing what in the entry above is such a YMMV-statement that it needs a disclaimer.
