Where is Ant Island located, and where are the grasshoppers flying from? First off, the movie seems to suggest that the grasshoppers live, or hang out, in Mexico (the road sign saying "Cuidado!" or something like that.) Then, due to the many other Pixar references to the human trailer, I get the impression that the ants might be somewhere on the East Coast (at the end of Monsters Inc. when Randall appears in the trailer, and one of the humans responds, "Look, Ma! There's another gator in the house!")
Does that mean that the grasshoppers are flying all the way from Mexico to Florida just to assert themselves over the ants? I get that Spanish can be found in a lot of the U.S. and that gators do appear outside of Florida, but I still wonder. Any thoughts?
