I don't think that describing Quicksilver saving Hawkeye as 'soaking up bullets' is correct.
First, Quicksilver pushed him out of the way so that Hawkeye wouldn't get hit.
Second, those bullets went straight through Quicksilver ( I think the only reason we don't see Quicksilver turned into swiss cheese is a ratings issue, so we just get bloody spots ) — if Quicksilver hadn't pushed Hawkeye out of the way, Hawkeye still would have been hit.
