  • Villain Protagonist: Our protagonist is a professional assassin with seemingly no moral scruples who kills for purely selfish reasons. The only thing keeping him even a bit sympathetic is that he's opposed by other people in the murder-for-hire industry, who perpetrated the rape of his girlfriend, but even with that considered he kills some relatively innocent people either deliberately or accidentally without a care.

The Killer is an antihero because the audience sides with him against his opponents, the people who tried to kill him and raped his girlfriend. He is an evil man, but he's not the villain of the film. In fact, the main point of the film is that he's not the perfectly heartless killing machine he claims to be.
