This page keeps referring to "monster abortions." Abortions only describe the termination of something that has not been born yet. The baby Jiger is obviously already born and is said to be sucking Gamera's blood for sustenance. It is living and growing inside Gamera. It's not right to call this an abortion. The kids straight up kill the baby Jiger with electrical static, not abort it.
Also, the rifles used against Gamera at the beginning of the film do not "work", so to speak. They merely annoy Gamera. Gamera only leaves the area because the Wester Island volcano erupts, pulling his attention away for the sweet, sweet taste of flames. The party's rifles do absolutely nothing to deter Gamera. Look carefully and you'll see him shaking the rounds off.
