Okay, this has the potential to be an edit war if I make this an edit comment (in that we may end up talking through editing), so lets get things straightened out here:
Killing a soldier on an active battlefield as they exit a building isn't murder. They were pretty clearly trying to kill him without exposing themselves to counterattack, which is just good tactics.
The guy spraying the door indiscriminately has nothing to do with the later ambush for the purposes of tropemaking. Only the ambush gets him hoisted.
Just checked. He definitely slides, having misstepped from the high door (high enough that it seemed like a loading dock for pickup trucks or something).
