I've been trying to develop a Tezuka-styled take on Inspector Gadget for some time now. It's a fusion of the cartoon series and the live-action movies, both of which I thought were okay if not rather good.
In a nutshell, the idea is to explain his gadgets, and to give MAD a role not unlike QUANTUM from James Bond [for example, the random grunts come from a Blackwater-ish company].
