Do we really need to mention the latest Trainwreckord episode everytime?
Just wanted to add a note about my edit for Ashlee Simpson under Saturday Night Live performances. It's often incorrectly assumed that the SNL incident is what killed her solo career. While that moment remains notorious in pop culture, it didn't stop Ashlee from selling singles and albums. Her second album still debuted at number 1 and she had a few singles from that era do really well. It wasn't until her third album, Bittersweet World, that things started to go south. That album was recorded during a tumultuous time at Geffen Records, Ashlee's label: Geffen was absorbed into Interscope, and Geffen co-head Jordan Schur (who had shepherded Ashlee's first two albums to success) was replaced by Ron Fair. These circumstances arguably played a part into the underpromotion of Bittersweet World.
