Ariachus has been changing the gendered redirect for Calling the Old Man Out from the version that’s applicable to Saki's example, Calling the Old Woman Out. There were discussions about it in the past on ATT and the rulings state that it is all right to use the gendered redirect.

Since the troper restored it after I changed it back, should we restore the gendered redirect rather than Edit War?

As long as it leads where it is supposed to go, the gendered redirect should not be a problem.

The "Calling The Old Woman Out" is listed at the bottom of the trope page, so it is a valid alternative.

It is good that you created this thread, as you can quote it when you change it.
