Also, per the trope page:
"Some characters always get enraged when given a certain, minor trigger."
So for it to be a Berserk Button, it has to be a character overreacting to a minor or insignificant thing someone shouldn't get mad about. Being accused of racism is not a minor thing. Especially with the way Wade had been spending just about the entire second half of the movie provoking him about it.
The trope does not apply.
Juggernaut in Deadpool 2 isn't a Mutant. While he is in a mutant Jail he doesnt have a collar and his powers work fine.
Hide / Show RepliesThey probably just don't have one big enough. And just like Last Stand, they're probably just handwaving him as a mutant so they don't have to go into the whole Avatar of the Chaos God thing (it's already surprising enough they tossed in Shatterstar as an alien).
Surely they would have found some way to put one on him, like an ankle version. And given that Deadpool mentions the comics when fangasming over him, it seems possible he isn't a mutant.
I would say at the very least we could add a Ambiguous Situation Entry about whether or not Juggs is a Mutant or not.
Berserk Button does not belong on this page. Certainly not by focusing on the "racist" accusations because of this one line from the guy who keeps putting it back: And Wade was being a pest. That's exactly why Cable "snapped" at him. It had nothing to do with being called a racist, but entirely because Wade was being an annoying pain in the ass.
