Not the one who deleted it, but likely because the Featureless Protagonist trope already includes clauses for how the minor things slip through, quote: "More often than not, a thorough examination of the game will cause this to break down as providing any kind of substantial interaction with a player character who is a cipher is problematic"
One can be a Featureless Protagonist even if one has minor distinguishing features.
Why was the "hey the Commander actually ISN'T a featureless protagonist if you just think about it for five seconds" bit removed?
