I'm not sure Zakath and Cyradis have a 30-year age difference. It's mentioned in Belgarath the Sorcerer that Zakath was born in 5340, which makes him only 15 years older than Garion (and Garion is around 25-30 when Geran is born). If you substract 30 years from 40-45, this would make Cyradis 10-15 years old.
Cyradis actually visited Eriond seven years before Geran was born - Zakath would have been 33-38 at the time... which would have made Cyradis 3-8, which sounds very implausible. She was actually described as a young woman in that encounter, so I have a feeling she's closer to 15 years younger than Zakath (so around Garion's age, who was 18 at the time).
