With three games under their belt, each introducing quite a few characters on their own, this page is getting quite large. Isn't it time to split it into 3 pages, each for characters introduced in each game (with Octo Expansion characters also going on 2s page, and whatever presumed new characters are introduced in 3s DLC would go there too)?
Hide / Show RepliesI noticed someone trying that earlier, but it seems like the redlinks were commented out by someone else.
I just got the other things ready. So once no one’s going to place or edit things in the main page, I think we can get all but “Others” and the manga characters in there.
According to this video, Shiver identifies themselves as a girl and does use she/her pronouns. I can understand if we should wait until the game's release to change how to refer to Shiver, but that is something to consider.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I want to give the Sanitized Octarians a seperate entry. Should they go under People of the Deepsea Metro or Octarians?
Hide / Show RepliesSanitized Octarians have no affiliations with DJ Octavio. They are mindless creations of Commander Tartar and thus should be relegated to Deepsea Metro.
Commander Tartar's name is a bit fuzzy. He refers to himself as TARTAR in all-caps, which makes sense as it's presumably an acronym of some type seeing as how he's an ancient human AI. However, the game itself refers to him as Commander Tartar, with normal capitalization. Which one should we use?
So, where should we put Agent 8, considering they don't really fit into any of our current subtopics?
Hide / Show RepliesI think fitting them under the Octarian banner works for now, given what we know; if the full content of Octo Expansion makes it clear that they should be elsewhere, they can be sorted accordingly.
I feel like there are enough substantial differences between Agents 3, 4 and 8 for all of them to have their own profiles, so maybe bunch them together as in a "protagonist" section?
On that subject, I've been considering the idea of giving each weapon class its own profile, similarly to how the Monster Hunter character page is structured. Does anyone else like that idea?
Okay, a question: is there a trope, still, for a musical style being a signature of a group of people? Because especially as of Octo Expansion, the Octolings are very associated with a mix of hard industrial/techno and R&B. But it's not a Leitmotif exactly (it's more than one song) and it isn't Sound-Coded for Your Convenience or Recognizable by Sound...
I think somebody already proposed the idea, but to give more support to it, I think a Character section for the Weapon Classes would be a good idea. They're all very unique from each other, and having a page dedicated to them could help readers better understand them.
