This entry under Aura was misused, but has enough points it could be salvaged under another trope.

  • Foil: To Rau Le Creuset. They are both the Big Bad of their organizations and blonde-haired commanders who have had their age altered through artificial means. Aura made herself younger while Creuset unintentionally ages faster due to being a Clone. Aura stays on the backlines in a battleship while relying on her technological advantage while Creuset constantly fights on the front-lines using typical ZAFT Mook machines against his opponents before getting the Providence Gundam. Their biggest difference is how they treat their underlings and younger people where Aura may be genuinely caring but is also extremely controlling and demanding, even hitting Ingrid. Creuset unquestionably killed Flay but he did treat her relatively well for a POW and gave Athrun and Yzak good treatment as their commander. Creuset also genuinely cared for Rey very well by bringing up the boy when he could.

Foil requires they interact in order to highlight the contrast. Contrasting Sequel Antagonist might fit but this is the sequel to Destiny so have to ask if gaps between works disqualify. Mirror Character is another possibly but I'm not sure about the scope.

Since SEED Freedom is the sequel of the sequel of SEED, imo, Contrasting Sequel Antagonist should be okay.

I have another question of another Foil entry here, this one for Yzak and Shura :

  • He is also one to Yzak where they are both silver-haired and an Unknown Rival to Athrun, both favoring close combat when fighting. Shura starts off seemingly as an ally then becomes an antagonist while Yzak starts off as an antagonist before allying himself with the Three Ships Alliance. One large difference is that Athrun holds Yzak to a degree of respect for his skills and loyalty to ZAFT and tries to be cordial with him. As for Shura, Athrun goes out of his way to make their battles as dishonorable and disgraceful as possible, barely caring about what Shura thinks of him.
Did they interact in the movie (or the novel version of it) ? I don't remember so if not, this should be scrapped. And I did so on when I wrote the Sandboxes for this reason while leaving the Athrun/Shura Foil entry.
