20 person keeps changing this example , regarding Viserys I

Original

  • All for Nothing:All his efforts to conciliate and ultimately his goal in life of maintaining a united, strong realm are undone when Alicent misunderstands Viserys rambling on his deathbed about the Song of Fire and Ice and thinks that Viserys has designated Aegon as The Chosen One, which makes her determined to press her son's claim and the succession war practically unavoidable.

Change

  • All for Nothing:All his efforts to conciliate and ultimately his goal in life of maintaining a united, strong realm was doomed to failure as Otto and most of the Small Council were just waiting for him to die so they could kill Rhaenyra and crown Aegon king, making the succession war practically unavoidable.

As I said, the change is missing the point, what undoes his efforts is Viserys mistakenly telling her that he wants Aegon in the throne, which makes Alicent determined to press Aegon's claim where before she was really on the fence. Without her determination, The Small Council alone doesn't have the weight to force the coup without the Queen full commitment and Criston Cole behind it, we have already seen the council divided and the objections she makes against Otto, even when she thinks Aegon was Viserys's wish... the scenario would be much different with "squeamish" Alicent still thinking Rhanerya was his designated heir, an attempt at conciliation is not out of the question at all, Viserys's last plea worked to some degree before his rambling of the prophecy

Any objection to restoring the original?

Regarding Rhaenyra fate being mentioned GOT in Doomed by Canon and its supertrope Foregone Conclusion in general, I think we should just mention in the examples that her fate is told in chapter X of Game of Thrones, not the actual details, readers can go the linked page if they want to know.

Also it's not something generally known as "The Titanic sinks" , required in Foregone Conclusion.

The spoiler tags are not valid here, as they are only for stuff that "has" happened in the series, not for things to come.

Should we consider relocating Aegon and his siblings to the House Hightower page, or should we just wait for the official Black-Green divide at the end of the season?

Always wait until stuff has actually happened to write about it.

Why has Aemond been designated as "Unmarked Spoilers"? I wonder

The established policy is only stuff from past seasons are free of spoiler tags, which obviously doesn't apply yet during season 1
