I'm wondering if Laser-Guided Karma is an appropriate trope for the Kingdom's fate off of Azure Moon, and if so, if the current entry wording should be adjusted. The narrative never presents the Kingdom's submission or dissolution and/or absorption into the Empire/Alliance as having anything to do with the genocide of Duscur or being "payback" for what happened there, and there doesn't seem to really be any narrative resonance between the fates of Duscur and the Kingdom at large. Any assertions that the Kingdom is promptly forgotten rely entirely on conjecture (in the case of Crimson Flower, which is where the majority of the arguments to this effect come from in the current entry wording) since we never actually see what happens to it, and it certainly isn't the case that the Kingdom promptly disappears on Silver Snow and Verdant Wind (particularly Verdant Wind, where the deaths of Dimitri and the potential collapse of the Kingdom loom large over the next two chapters, especially if any Blue Lions are recruited). If Laser-Guided Karma is an appropriate trope, than the entry wording should probably better reflect the neutral writing of the page at large, since it presently Assuming it is an appropriate trope (and that's a matter of debate, because it's currently written with a vindictiveness that seems out of place and more personal than encyclopedic.
Regarding Vocal Dissonance, is that really something Cornelia is known for? She sounds mature sure, but I never saw her voice as not fitting, nor (until now) seen anyone think she sounds like a "hag."
Edited by Perentie Hide / Show RepliesShe has a pretty standard Contralto Of Danger setup, common for Fire Emblem villains who fit her archetype.
Thales referring to Cleobulus with male pronouns was apparently a translation goof, should we still have Ambiguous Gender for Cornelia?
Hide / Show RepliesIf it's a translation goof then it should be removed.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. Was that part of the script changed in the full release? Japanese doesn't have the same gender pronouns like what English has, so it is possible for Thales to talk about Cleobulus with Gender Neutral Writing what English has hard time replicating.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Source on this being a translation goof? Leonie's support goof got fixed upon release, so if this wasn't then it raises questions on if its a mistake or not.
Do Adrestia and Faerghus really fit the Powerhouse and Balanced under Faction Calculus? I think they aught to be switched. The Empire has the strongest military, but their war doctrine is more flexible than Faerghus. They use both direct and sneak attacks, and they use a better variety of ranged and melee units. Meanwhile, Faerghus mostly relies on their powerful knights, Relics, and go for the Attack! Attack! Attack! approach.
I get the feeling people just assume Adrestia is the powerhouse since they're the strongest army, but the trope is about military strategy, not military might.
