I'm pretty sure it was Ermentraub, not Ehrmantraut. It might still be a reference on the Noah Hawley's part, but not a direct one in-universe. And even if it is Ehrmantraut (it's been a while), I don't think we can be positive Varga came up with the name post-2007 in-universe.

Edit: Mike doesn't even show up until BB Season 2 or 3, right? And Fargo Season 3 takes place in 2010.

Is Ehrmantraut really an Invented Individual? In the first episode I got the impressions that he was someone Emmitt and Sy had actually met and maybe was just a figurehead.
