I think both examples that say “The Magic Goes Away” is an example are wrong and I suggest them to be removed.

I would like to do it, but I fear there might be an edit war if I at least don’t state my case.

l watched the whole series and nothing whatsoever suggests magic was reduced or subdued. I suspect the original author said so because the magical girls are only shown dressed as civilians during the epilogue of the final episode. But it’s way more likely it just means they are now at peace because the villains were defeated . Saying the reason is because there’s no more magic is, at best, speculative not a fact.

If anything we are told the opposite because Magic is an innate power tied to each individual in this universe. For example Sasami’s light magic is very uniquely tied to her. There is no “mana” that is harnesses by magic users like it occurs in, say, the Nasuverse.

Maybe the original author thought so because, Amitav’s sacrificed himself to seal some evil magic? But that still wouldn't fit because

a)Sasami has no issue using her own light magic to ease his pain after he does the deed,

B)Itoki, a witch, was going to use magic to seal him and was clearly seeing flying and using magic whips, after his sacrifice

C)Witch world still had plenty of magic users even with the evil magic being sealed away in the past.

So at best saying that magic “went away” in this universe is a fan theory. Unless there’s some Word of God I am missing?
