In The Biter episode of Grandfathered, Jimmy (John Stamos) and Sara (Paget Brewster), when a kid finally told them the biter's name. Jimmy: Our work here is done. Sara: Wrong, rookie. It's just begun. Jimmy: I like this side of you, like a badass chick on Criminal Minds or something.

Paget played Emily Prentiss on Criminal Minds for over 6 seasons.

In a recent episode of ABC Family's Switched at Birth, Toby (played by Lucas Grabeel) tells his mother he's not into musicals. Lucas Grabeel starred in the High School Musical series and I Kissed a Vampire (also a musical)

(Re: Nashville comment) "And 'She's Got You' has Juliette discover that the wife of the man she's sleeping with is hot for her. Miss Panettiere's had some experience with that as well."

Specifically who? I've never heard anything about this.

Pulled some natter:

  • Actually, Tennant has gone on record saying that Tom Baker was his Doctor. Peter Davison was writer Stephen Moffat's Doctor.
    • Tom Baker was Tennant's FIRST Doctor, but Davison was the one he loved in the role and more "HIS Doctor," so the allusion stands.

Incidentally, Moffat is ten years older than Tennant and was 22 when Davison started in the role, so I think it's more likely Baker is his Doctor.

During one episode of the latest Doctor Who, the Doctor (Matt Smith) is cloned and while pretending to be the clone, he insists on being referred to as "Smith." Would anyone consider this an example of Actor Allusion...?

I dunno; the Doctor's always liked the name Smith...
