I feel the video game examples section of this page needs cleanup. It\'s even noted in the trope description that video games tend to have a lot of narrative filigree because the alternative is to railroad the player to the plot. I would go do far as to say that it\'s a NecessaryWeasel for any game that (a) has a plot and (b) is not extremely linear. In particular, the concept of lore is omnipresent within Western RPGs - is there point in listing every WRPG as an example?

It\'s not {{Foreshadowing}} since that definitely wasn\'t the intent at the time. The writer of Fall of Reach definitely wasn\'t privy to plot details from Halo 3, if Bungie even thought of that that early. It\'s HilariousInHindsight.
