Visual Novels, Manga, and Anime are all pretty closely related. There\'s also far too many good Anime based off of Manga , and VNs are basically Choose Your Own Adventure Manga with pretty CG pictures. So I\'d say no, VNs would dilute the trope since its arguable for many of them whether they really classify as games at all.
