I don\\\'t see how this example as written fits the trope. There was injustice at the time and in those actions, but there isn\\\'t one judge/person overriding the decisions of everybody else involved.

Keep. From the little we know, some members of the Quarian goverment tried to shut down the Geth. The Geth responded by wiping out every single quarian colony and killing billions of (innocent) people. It might have been self-defense at first but that\'s seriously disproportionate. Can also qualify as GenocideBackfire. Really, both of these tropes cover it well.
