Kuei is now actively doing what he should be doing, acknowledging what he did wrong in the past, learning from his mistakes and listening to advice. Also, Kuei never let the Dai Li destroy the walls of the city. If you\\\'re talking about who let down the spiritual barriers, that was Quan, who was at the time allied with Azula, who had killed his leader in front of his very eyes. The Earth King knows it\\\'s important to keep doing annual rituals to keep the spirits under control. It is true that Kuei came up with the idea of digging pit traps in the city of Ba Sing Se to tie down the Fire Nation army occupying his city, though. Get your facts straight, already. As for mindbending, Kalaong, you need to do a lot of rereading. Kuei yells at his advisors Bon and Quan that \\\"No one is to learn mindbending. Do you understand me? No Dai Li is to do this ever again!\\\"/\\\"There is no reason to ever-\\\" (chapter 36). The people who chose to follow Kuei? The Fire Nation refugees, the waterbenders who have lived in the city for longer than them even...I guess they\\\'re insane, right? They only respect him because Kuei mindbended them, right? Never mind the fact that he\\\'s never laid a hand on them, told Bon and Quan never to do it EVER AGAIN? They only chose Kuei because they believe that he\\\'s a puppet they don\\\'t have to kowtow to in order to get away with shit in the city, right? Right?

Fong forget the reason why the Earth King even exists in the first place, Kalaong. His reasoning is just as faulty as yours, and he got what he deserved. Now he\\\'s going to be known as a malicious traitor to the Earth King, and his name and those associated with him may well be in great disgrace. For what it\\\'s worth, Kuei never really liked Fong either. The five Generals thought exactly what Long Feng made of Kuei - a useless puppet-king bookworm figurehead in need of protection. Him and the other Earth Generals forget that the Earth King\\\'s powers are REAL as the Avatar\\\'s, if not more so. Now that Fong is dead, he will get a reminder just why the Earth King is respected accordingly.
