Gyatso killed people in selfdefense and not judging people for not holding your beliefs is hardly hypocritical. And people of Avatar world can take huge amount of cartoonish beating without getting hurt so no, he didn\'t. And his wish was more than just personal opinion, he wanted to keep ideals of his people alive, since there wasn\'t anyone else to hold them.
