One day I was grid-surfing my cable channels and I came across an odd title,\\\"dirtgirlworld\\\". No capital first letter, three words put together into one run-on word. An unconventional way to spell a show\\\'s name. It sounded like a \\\"Riot Grrrl\\\" type of show. But on the PBS Sprout channel? The show\\\'s description said it\\\'s made for girls age 4-7 and teaches nature and ecology. So I take a look.
My first thought: Angela Anaconda? Then, Powerpuff Girls done Clutch Cargo style? Terry Gilliam re-imagining South Park? Alice in Wonderland for the Android age? And, like a previous obsession of mine, Farscape, it\\\'s Australian!
Well, I\\\'m not a kid anymore, neither is anyone else in my family. I\\\'m into many kinds of art, and I find this little show sufficiently Dada to discuss. Also a good material to feed into TV Tropes while I\\\'m learning how to work with things around here.
