What I don\'t understand is that the book series is supposed to be for grade school kids. Why are there so many things that make it seem like it\'s for an older audience? (and you can\'t exactly explain it all as GettingCrapPastTheRadar because it\'s so \'\'overt\'\'}.

Not to mention that the villains are portrayed as [[CompleteMonster complete monsters]] when the only real villain was portrayed as just really hammy and cliché.
