I added this to {{deconstruction}} on the main page; but it was deleted:
** Although Batman is working with the cops in \'\'The Dark Knight\'\', he didn\'t start that way and the District Attorney has issues with the legalities of asking a vigilante for help. In \'\'Batman Begins\'\'; Batman is a wanted criminal (for beating criminals to near death without justifications for self-defence and everything else that comes with being a vigilante) to the point where [[VillainWithGoodPublicity Jonathan Crane]] can call the cops to arrest him for breaking and entering (even if Batman was investigating Crane\'s fear toxins and illegal experiments). Also; action sequences like Batman evading the police with traps and gadgets get him a WhatTheHellHero from Alfred; as police would obviously be at least injured during these moments. The citizens of Gotham are afraid of Batman as well due to his urban legend status, violence and costume; even Rachel is scared by him and tries to taser him and [[spoiler: most people in the Narrows will remember him as a literal monster, although Crane\'s fear toxin helped with that.]] [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Oh, and being Batman means your sleeping patterns are screwed up and you get injuries just like everyone else (if not more so).]]
