Even if someone likes a fic and reccs it, if someone disagrees with it\\\'s quality, they deserve to be heard too. Disrecommends made onto an already recc\\\'d fic tend to induce natter, but at the same time often flag controversial fics so people are at least warned before they choose their timesink of choice.
Still, with the review system being set up, the situation should improve. This should clear up natter and give people a heads up about the quality of fics once it gets going.
