I suspect that the trope could have more accurate description of what these \\\"epithets\\\" sound like. The examples from the Turkey Lexicon some like simple descriptions. They are not, I believe, actually epithets.

Whether they are, what sort of phrases the trope can look like needs to be explained in the description and is the sort of thing you build up with the examples and is part of the natural wonder of YKTTW. For instance, that point about trying to avoid just saying the character name, that seems relevant and it comes across in this description as the underlying driver of this trope but \\\'\\\'it\\\'s not an attribute of epithets\\\'\\\'.[[hottip:*: An epithet can be added, which is very common, or a replacement of a name and it acts just like a name or title. People called LukeNounverber, NounVerber and related tropes are dealing with epithets because the description acts almost like it\\\'s part of their name. When they replace the name, they are terms well established and in a OneMarioLimit way really connected to that person. So from Homer, \\\"Gray Athena\\\" was like giving Athena a surname and referring to \\\"The Light One\\\" could only mean Apollo because that\\\'s what all the Doric\\\'s called him.]]

I\\\'m going to take it to YKTTW, I\\\'ll put it under Burly Detective Syndrome because TurkeyCityLexicon and HowNotToWriteANovel are our best evidence for this genuinely existing and tropers who have read them will find it easier to contribute.
