Well, I\'m back, as I\'ve thought of justifications. Who\'s to say the sonic trigger, the sonic emitters and those crates which house the machine guns aren\'t also lead-concealed? Batman is most definitely CrazyPrepared enough to go to those lengths. The crates have no lids so the guns can quickly extend and fire on him, but maybe his line of vision doesn\'t extend far enough from the air that he spotted their profile (as again, they were lowered to be hidden and then quickly deployed). As for grenades, if he had tried to laser the smoke grenade in Batman\'s hand or whilst attached to his UtilityBelt, he could have caused the guy significant injury (can he even dial it to the point that it would both neutralise a grenade and not maim Batman\'s hand?). So how do you propose that he deal with that?
