The entry for Franlin says \
to:
The entry for Franklin says \\\"Schulz himself insisted that Franklin\\\'s race was immaterial to his creation\\\". I thought it was pretty well documented, and acknowledged by Schulz, that Franklin was created in response to a correspondence between Shulz and a schoolteacher who thought inclusivity in media was important and \\\'\\\'Peanuts\\\'\\\' was the best strip to show it. He might have said that Franklin\\\'s race was immaterial to his \\\'\\\'character\\\'\\\', but that\\\'s not quite the same thing.
