Well, the parents have been referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Loud until I think season 2 or whenever their first names were revealed. I really don't know why they are referred as their surnames but maybe the people who do haven't seen the episodes where their names are revealed. Or maybe it's just easier to remember. Hope this helps :)
