On the rare occasions I\'ve heard the word used, it\'s been to describe members of the fandom, not actual anthropomorphic characters; the only exception being the trope pages FurriesAreEasierToDraw and FurryComic. (And nowhere else on TVTropes, which prefers FunnyAnimals.)
