What exactly is the Chick? As far as I can tell, she's basically some sort of mix of the Heart and the Smurfette Principle, so it shouldn't even be its own trope. And how exactly is Leia the Chick? I mean, she's the only lead female in the trilogy, but aside from that? So is the Smurfette Principle simply the principle (as the name suggests) while the actual Smurfette in question is the Chick? I really don't see why those would be seperate tropes. It says that the Chick is one of the members of the Five-Man Band, but if it's a boy, he doesn't count, and it's suddenly not a Five-Man Band? What kind of arbitrary rule is this?! Sure back in the day, it was almost always a girl, and the only girl, but times have changed. In this day and age, I don't think the gender of each team member is set in stone like that anymore. In short, I don't know what the Chick is or why she exists as trope.
