I\'ve been driving myself crazy looking for this among CameraTricks, ComedyTropes, and various other places. It\'s where a character is shown seemingly in a certain location, but when the camera pulls back you discover they were just standing/walking in front of a photo or painting. It\'s clearly a subtrope of a RevealShot, and the initial view of it looks like something out of a MatteShot, but it\'s more specific than either of those, and always PlayedForLaughs.
