I\'m currently calling it \"anti-volunteering\": a group is asked for volunteers for some feared or disliked task, and all but one take a step or two back (the one perhaps being either less intimidated or simply oblivious to the movement of the others, for example), leaving that one person now standing forward from the group, without their having moved, leading to their selection.
